OUR MISSION
To improve awareness of the quality of services and supports for individuals with special needs by partnering with families, professionals and others who share the same vision.
|
WHO WE ARE:
- The Page Partnership for People with Special Needs is a non-profit community action team started in 1997 which is located in rural northern Arizona, in Page and surrounding communities on the Navajo Nation.
- Our team consists of members from Page, Kaibeto, Bitter Springs, LeChee and other surrounding reservation communities. Our organization is led by parents and includes additional family members, representatives from education, social service, medical, public health, and other interested community members from on and off the Navajo Nation.
WHAT WE DO:
- Through these partnerships, the team takes action by addressing various issues in the community.
- By bringing families and professionals together on a monthly, ongoing basis, we create a unique team that works together on projects that improve the quality of care, strengthen families, share resources and increase awareness in our communities.
- The focus of the team’s work is to build on community strengths that already exist in the remote, rural communities of Northern Arizona and to connect these resources with one another.
